The WEE puppies from Salty have sprouted!!  Really overnight they doubled their weight....My mom had not seen them over the weekend and when she came to stay with them Tuesday afternoon she was like " Oh, they have gotten so big over the weekend!"  I thought so too but since I see them so much I was thinking I might not be a good judge.  I know they are much much stronger and more aggressive.  The little brown pup and the smaller white female, both have their eyes open today.  I took these pictures of them sleeping... so sweet...

Little outside time....

So Taco and Pepe are getting a little outside time; learning how to play in grass, chew on sticks and stretch their legs!!

It made for some really cute photos!

They both found homes!

They found a home!

Today Pepe, the brown eyed boy, found a great home!  Taco found his family Monday.  They will be with me for several more weeks and Monday they go for their first vet visit.

Tiny puppies

Salty had her litter on Wednesday.  To be such a big dog she always has tiny puppies.  I'm not sure if you can tell how small these are next to her... But when you look at her foot or leg and compare them to her size they are small.  

They are as small as medium sized dogs like Cocker Spaniels or even Schnauzer puppies at birth.  

They are nursing good but still unable to regulate their body temperature so they have to be kept covered all the time just to stay warm.  

There were 3 pups born alive, two white with patches on their eyes and a brown & white pup... Probably will end up as a nice red puppy.
