Playtime

There is now more and more playing going on between the siblings... Today I put the first toys in with them.

Feeding starts

So feeding puppies has started and as you can see they do pretty good....all eating out of the bowls pretty good and then of course they CRASH OUT afterwards.....

Boomer & Little

When I came out this morning Boomer, Little and all the dogs were up playing in the dirt we have left over from digging our Koi pond this winter.  Just couldn't resist taking some pictures of them as they posed for the camera!

Bigger

This morning all the puppies were out nursing on the paper in their little pen!  Sweetest things....

Moved into the kitchen....a big change for the puppies

Tonight after VBS the puppies were moved into the kitchen.  

They are unsure of where they are and some wander out of the kennel to be surprised by a slick floor to paddle around on.  They will accept this new change in a day though.  Soon they will be scampering around and playing but now they are still just sleeping most of the day.  A couple of the puppies are walking a bit now.  

Some are actually starting to try to play...its funny how this puppy was going to make an attempt to bite his littermate and then lost his balance and tumbled over on his side!!!

Puppies are organizing themselves !

I came home from church to find that the puppies had organized themselves into a nice line of quietly sleeping little bodies... Quite a bit different than the jumbled up knot of squeaking writhing puppies they normally are!  They sure are growing fast now.  

Two have found lovely homes and we have a few people coming this week to take a look and pick out a puppy.

Finally, their eyes are opening!

I keep thinking things are going so slow with these puppies...they are just so plump and big but I looked back at the calendar and they are ONLY 11 days old.  Today when I got home (went to the beach for a couple of hours ---yeah!) and picked up one of the puppies---SURPRISE---he looked back at me.  Little dotty eyes looking and blinking!  I don't think they see much but he could see something.  So this weekend if you are following, you can email me and make a schedule to see them and pick yours out.

Males and females--

So I've had many calls about Vanilla's litter.  Most want to know what the break down is from males to females so I got a couple of pictures of the after organizing the puppies for everyone.  They are fat and round and nursing great today.  My mom has been down with them all morning since I had to work today.  They are still on 24 hour watch especially since this is Vanilla's first litter.

The two that are yellow will be solid snow white.  They were the next puppies to be born when we went for the c-section---they are stained from the birth fluids that yellow when the puppies are in stress.
